Central Valley jumped out to a 5-0 lead and withstood a furious late inning rally by the Lady Wolverines to come out with a 5-4 victory on Saturday. LHS Standout Softball Player, Aliya Garroway Commits to Saint Francis University

Lincoln High School Senior Aliya Garroway verbally committed to Saint Francis University of the NEC last Thursday. She will sign her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, November 9th at Lincoln High School. SFU, located in Loretto Pa, is coached by Jessica O’Donnell. The team has won 5 consecutive NEC titles and participated in the NCAA tournament over that same span. The University is a tremendous academic institution and is also one of the top 50 Division 1 softball programs in the country. Ellwood City baseball and softball teams each earned WPIAL playoffs berths last year and each program will look to continue to build on last year’s success in their respective 2022 campaigns.
