EC Cross Country Team Finishes Third At WPIAL Championships

The Ellwood City Boys Cross Country team finished third overall at the WPIAL Championships this week at White Oak Park. “I am very proud of this third place finish,” said head coach Mark Hall. “This boys team work really hard all year long. All seven of them ran well. Ellwood City Boys Cross Country Wins Tri-County Championship

The Ellwood City Varsity Boys Cross Country team collected a championship in the Tri-County meet over the weekend. “My coaching staff and I are so proud of these bunch of young men they been working so hard all summer long it’s all paying off,” said head coach Mark Hall. Undefeated EC Boys Cross Country Team Wins Section Championship

The Ellwood City Boys Cross Country team remained undefeated with a victory this week and earned itself a section championship. The Wolverines boys defeated Riverside and Mohawk on Tuesday in earning their eleventh victory of the season.  The boys (11-0 overall) will next turn to MAC Championships at Brush Creek Park on October 14th beginning at 3:00 p.m. Varsity results: Ellwood City 21, Mohawk 38; Ellwood City 20, Riverside 43. Sesti Leads EC Golf; EC Volleyball & Cross Country Remain Undefeated

Milo Sesti led the Ellwood City boys golf team to victory on Tuesday while the Ellwood City girls volleyball team and the Ellwood City co-ed cross country team were each victorious and both remain unbeaten. For the boys golf team, the 198-225 victory over Shenango at Delmar Golf Course was led by Sesti’s round of 36. Joining Sesti in the 30’s was Joey Hudson who finished with a round of 39 for the Wolverines.
