Franklin Township Announces Shadyrest & Soap Run Road Cleanup

Help keep Franklin Township clean and beautiful. A cleanup is planned for Shadyrest & Soap Run Road on Friday, April 8th (Rain date, April 18th). Registered groups will be meeting at the Franklin Township Community Park at 8:30 a.m. and will pick up until 11:00 a.m. Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is providing clean up supplies through their PICK UP PENNSYLVANIA initiative. Kitchen Cabinet Planning Kids Created Kingdom Clean Up

With the annual Ellwood City Easter Egg Hunt event scheduled on Saturday, the Ellwood City Kitchen Cabinet is planning and organizing a clean up at the Kids Created Kingdom in Ewing Park on Tuesday, April 5th. According to its social media page, the non-profit plans to rake up the leaves inside and along the fence outside of the large kids playground feature.  The clean up is planned for 6:00 p.m. Two years ago the clean up was done within two hours because of extra volunteer help. ‘Operation Adopt a Block’ Seeking Volunteers for June 26 Cleanup

Operation Adopt a Block will be in full force tomorrow as local leaders, officials, and residents gather to clean up Ellwood City. Justin Neupauer, owner of Alborn Tire Sales and leader of the event, said he is expecting about 50 volunteers but more are always welcome. “I am always shocked by the response of people who are willing to take time out of their day to volunteer,” he said. Borough Hosting “Drop off” Clean-Up Progam

The Borough of Ellwood City will be hosting a “Drop off” Clean-Up program Saturday, August 29th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The location of drop-off will be in the parking lot of 1200 Factory Avenue. The program is made possible by the Recycling Fund. To offset the cost, residents will be charged $8.00 per vehicle load per trip (2 trips max) or have the option (for those age 65 or disabled) to pay $35.00 to have items picked up curbside, but still limited to a vehicle load. Ellwood City’s Annual Cleanup to be Held in August

If you have waste to get rid of, here’s your chance. On Saturday, August 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. the borough will have dumpsters available at their 1200 Factory Avenue site. The cost is $8 per vehicle load. Residents must have a tag to be able to drop off waste. Tags must be purchased in advance at the utility window at the borough building, 525 Lawrence Ave. Borough employees will be on site to help and to monitor drop off.
