Ellwood City Annual Fall Clean-Up Scheduled For October 1

Don’t ‘waste’ this opportunity to clean up and rid yourself of unwanted items in your household!

Ellwood City has scheduled its annual fall clean-up date for Saturday, October 1st from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Drop off location is the parking lot at 1200 Factory Avenue in Ellwood City, just west of Adams Manufacturing Building #4 and prior to the Moose Lodge

The cost is $10.00 per passenger vehicle for drop offs. No commercial vehicles allowed.

Tags may be purchased through the utility window at the Borough building at 525 Lawrence Avenue

Curbside pick-up is available for disabled residents or residents over 65 years of age. Requests for curbside pick-up can be made through the borough offices.

If approved by the borough manager, items will be picked up on your regular trash day during the week of October 3. Requests mast be submitted by September 28. This will be limited to one pickup truck load per house. Cost is $35.00 per house.

Excluded items include: Tires, car batteries, bricks, stones, dirt, dismantled automobiles, containers with liquid (solvents, paint thinners, oil, gas, kerosene), hazardous materials, items containing freon, electronic waste, TVs, desktop and laptop computers, monitors, fax machines, printers, DVR or DVD players, game consoles, and phones.
