LHS Class of 1954 Celebrates 69th Reunion With Cookout

The Lincoln High School Class of 1954 celebrated their 69th Reunion with an Ellwood city 4th July Cookout. The event was held on Saturday, July 1st, from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Connequenessing Country Club Indoor patio. Red, White and Blue decorated signs designed and provided by Ilene Gardner and her family directed all arrivals. Chairman, John Tino, greeted the visitors and Pudue LaCava presented each one with name tags. Ilene Gardner photographed each classmate and their guest. LHS Class of ’54 Holds “Make-Up” Reunions

The Lincoln High School Class of 1954 held a “66th, 67th and 68th COVIDs Make-Up Reunions” earlier this month. The class got together on Friday, July 1st at Smokin’ Dave’s BBQ according to Clemmy Sirimarco. John and Pat Tino, Ilene Gardner and Pudue LaCava led a meet and greet at 11:30 a.m. as attendees entered the reunion. The sign “Welcome Class of ’54’ Celebrating 65 years” in blue and white decorations greeted arrivals at the Connoquenessing Country Club for the “Picnic on the Patio” event on Saturday, August 17. Class members and guests were greeted by Ilene Gardner, Pudue LaCava, Herman D’Amico and James Gillespie at the registration desk. Viewing the picture memorial to the 114 deceased class members was followed by individual pictures taken by Gardner at the wall mural depicting the full frontal of Lincoln High School. Members and guests of the Lincoln High Class of 1954 held their 2018 “81 and Still Having Fun” annual party on Saturday July 14, at the Ellwood City Saxon Club. Class of 1954 Christmas Dinner Meeting Recap

Pudue LaCava hosted the annual Christmas Dinner for the 1954 Lincoln High School, “81 Still Having Fun” committee on Thursday, November 30 at 2p.m. at her Mt. Vernon Drive Home. The full committee in attendance enjoyed a bountiful menu of ravioli, meatballs, sausage, ham, salads, vegetable trays and many desserts, provided by members and served by LaCava and Ilene Gardner. Class of 1957 60th Anniversary Celebration

The 60th anniversary of the Lincoln High Class of 1957 was celebrated by 45 members accompanied by their spouses, friends and guests at two informal gatherings last month. Balloons decorated tables at Nico’s Cafe on Wampum Ave., where appetizers were enjoyed and friendships were renewed the first night. The next evening, 70 people gathered at the Saxon Club for a buffet-style dinner, catered by Nico’s, followed by an entertaining program emceed by James Meehan, class president from Ellwood City. Pudue LaCava hosted the Lincoln Class of 1954 “Nite at the Movies” committee wrap-up meeting on Thursday Auagust 18 at 1p.m. at her Mt. Vernon Drive home. The session began with lunch provided by the committee members and served by Ilene Gardner and LaCava. Dessert featured Gardner’s homemade pies in honor of the successful class event. Paul Abraham and James Spielvogel opened the business session. The Lincoln Class of 1954 “Night at the Movies” event on Saturday, July 15, began with the arrival of guests driving around the lawn display of parking spaces marked by posts holding the “speakers” facing a large marquee inscribed “Blue Sky Drive-In” and screen with now playing “Night at the Movies.” Leading up to the entrance of the Ellwood City Saxon Club, the movie popcorn smell greeted the arrivals as they entered and were registered by Pudue LaCava, Bob Calve, “Pinky” Maielli and Ellie Paul.
