Meet new people & explore faith together. Calvin Presbyterian Church will be sponsoring a new Alpha course beginning February 2nd. Alpha is a series of 12 weekly sessions where you can explore the Christian faith in an open-minded and welcoming environment.  The course is open to the public/community. Calvin Presbyterian Church will host the ALPHA course, run by Pastor Sean Brubaker. Each session begins with a meal, a video, and open-minded discussion. Join Calvin Presbyterian Church on Sunday, December 18th for Christmas at Calvin! The celebration begins at 4:00 PM with a Sanctuary Jazz Band Concert in the Dining Room, followed by hors d’oeuvres.  Those in attendance will then head outside for the Children’s Nativity, accompanied by a carol sing and Christmas message. Invite your friends and family to come see the kids present the Christmas story and join the celebration! Calvin Presbyterian Church will once again host a 13-week GriefShare program this winter each Sunday beginning February 14 and concluding May 23. The program will take place each Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 pm. The program will not meet on Easter (April 4) or Mother’s Day (May 9) and is sponsored by Calvin Presbyterian Church, with Ginny Brest as the facilitator. The first session is scheduled for Sunday, February 14 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. The support group meets in the lower-level dining room of the church, observing CDC guidelines. Calvin Presbyterian Church will once again host a 13-week GriefShare Program this fall, beginning in September. The program will take place each Sunday from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm beginning September 13 and concluding December 13. The church will have a special session, “Surviving the Holidays”, on November 4 during the time slot. No matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process.
