(KDKA) – Congressional Republicans investigating a possible impeachment of President Biden have subpoenaed his son, Hunter, to determine if his overseas business dealings benefited his father, the president. But their inquiry hits closer to home. They’ve also subpoenaed the president’s brother, James Biden, looking at his business dealings including what role he may have played in the takeover and subsequent closing of the Ellwood City Medical Center. North Side Students Give Back to Ellwood City Community

North Side Primary Students and Staff welcomed many Community Members and Partners to our school on Monday, December 18th. During the month of December, students are learning how good it makes all of us feel to GIVE. The students put this into practice when each classroom made a very special, giant sized Holiday Card thanking the local community agency and partner for the services they provide Ellwood City. TRAVEL ADVISORY: PA Turnpike Beaver Valley Interchange Eastbound Exit to Temporarily Close

BEAVER COUNTY —Travelers are advised that construction crews will be temporarily closing the eastbound exit at the Beaver Valley Interchange (Exit 13) of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) this coming weekend. The exit ramp will be closed, weather permitting, starting at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5. The closure is necessary to allow for the construction of a temporary on and off-ramp so work can continue as part of the ongoing Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project. Ellwood City used a strong running game powered by Elijah Palmer-McCane to rout Riverside 41-0 Friday Night at Riverside Memorial Stadium. The ‘RivEll Cup’ victory also clinched the Wolverines first playoff berth since 2011. Palmer-McCane scored four first half rushing touchdowns as the visiting Wolverines jumped out to a 35-0 halftime advantage. In the first quarter, Palmer-McCane scored from 1-yard out and later in the quarter from 41-yards out. The Riverside Panthers had a tough match-up on Friday, facing a section-leading Neshannock Lancers team. The visiting Lancers (7-1 Overall) flexed their moxy early, scoring five times in the first quarter and racing out to a 49-6 halftime advantage en route to their comfortable 64-20 section victory over Riverside. History is being made at Ellwood City. In a wild offensive showcase Friday night that featured over 100 combined points and 1,000 combined yards of offense by the Wolverines and Lions, another pair of century marks were reached individually by two Ellwood City juniors who combined to lead the Wolverines to a 62-40 victory on Homecoming night. Running back Elijah Palmer-McCane rushed for 285 yards and four touchdowns on the ground and quarterback Chris Smiley threw for 275 yards and five touchdowns. The Riverside Panthers were defeated Friday night 41-6 by Beaver Falls at Riverside Memorial Stadium. After the team exchanged scores to open the section contest, Beaver Falls (3-3 Overall) scored six straight times including a safety, punt return, and interception return to pull away. Chris Smiley threw for three touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Ellwood City Wolverines to a 34-14 victory over Freedom Friday Night at Helling Stadium. The section victory improved the surging Wolverines record to 3-1 on the season – already eclipsing their win total from last year. Ellwood City used a 17-yard fourth quarter touchdown run by running back Elijah Palmer-McCane to break at 12-12 tie and lead the Wolverines to its 25-12 victory over Carlynton Friday night at Helling Stadium.
