PHOTOS: Riverside Announces 2025 Prom Courts

Riverside Jr-Sr Promenade will be held at Riverside High School on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the high school auditorium. Students must report to the high school cafeteria at 5:00 pm with their date. Crowning of the king and queen will take place at the end of promenade. Tickets are on sale online using GoFan for $10. Lincoln High School Prom 2025: “What Happens At Prom Stays At Prom”

On Friday, May 2, 2025, Ellwood City Lincoln High School will host its annual prom, themed “What Happens at Prom Stays at Prom,” at the Pittsburgh Event Center, located at Steamfitters Local 449 in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. Before heading to the venue, students will take part in the traditional LHS Promenade at the Leslie Sabo Memorial Auditorium. During this event, prom court nominees will be introduced, and the 2025 Prom King and Queen will be crowned during the evening celebration. PHOTOS: Riverside Swimming Captures Section Crown, Next Stop WPIAL Championships

The Riverside boys earned a WPIAL Section 2-AA crown last Wednesday with its senior night victory over Central Valley. This is the 21st Section Title in the program’s history. The boys overall section record is 6-1 with its lone loss to Quaker Valley. “We lost the section title last year by one point, so this will not be a consecutive title but still a major success for our boys team of only eight swimmers,” says head coach Alaina Marshall. PHOTOS: Riverside Boys Basketball Team Defeats New Brighton On Senior Night

Evan Skinner led a trio of Panthers scoring in double figures Friday night as Riverside knocked off New Brighton 65-36 on Senior Night. Skinner finished with four 3-pointers en route to a game-high 18 points in the victory. Will Sullivan (16 points) and McCartney Plassmeyer (10 points) joined Skinner in double figures. Skinner poured in 13 first half points as Riverside raced out to a 36-17 halftime advantage. PHOTOS: Riverside Routs New Brighton On Senior Night

The Riverside girls basketball team easily dispatched of visiting New Brighton Thursday night during its senior night contest. The Lady Panthers defeated the Lions 60-7 to help run their regular season record to 14-8 Overall. DeLana Fox and Camryn Friello each scored 11 points for Riverside. Emma Meyer also reached double figures with 10 points in the victory. Riverside now sits at 9-5 in Section 1-3A along with Beaver Falls, both one game ahead of Ellwood City. It was a long evening Tuesday as the Ellwood City boys and girls basketball squads teamed up for a senior night double header against Beaver Falls. Two overtime thrillers later, both teams collected victories amid a combined eleven periods of play. Jackson Kerr scored a career high 21 points to lead Ellwood City to its Riv-Ell Cup victory over Riverside Tuesday night. The Wolverines raced out ahead early and poured in eight three pointers in the contest as they cruised to the 84-59 victory. Gabriella Finch and Delana Fox each scored 10 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a narrow 40-37 Riv-Ell victory over Ellwood City Monday night at Lincoln High School. All five starters scored for Riverside in its victory. Aaron Lake scored 12 points and Chuckie Schweinsberg connected on two critical fourth quarter 3-pointers to lead Ellwood City to a 35-32 rivalry victory over Riverside Tuesday evening at Lincoln High School. Ellwood City Women’s Network hosted their 8th annual Girls Night Out on Wednesday, November 20th at Shakespeares Restaurant. The networking event featured craft vendors, a Chinese auction, and 50/50 and entertainment by Vaughn Hudspath and others. All proceeds are donated to The Divine Grace Ministerium Food Bank which helps all those in need throughout Ellwood City and beyond.
