John P. Novalesi, 90, of Ellwood City (formerly of Wampum) passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Cambridge Falls following a brief illness. Born February 14, 1934 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Emilio and Emma Barrichini Novalesi. He was married to Marlene J. Karner Novalesi for 28 years when she passed in 1985. John graduated from Wampum High School 1953, where he was named as an All-State Basketball Player. Sharon A. Petrocelli, 71, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2024 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born June 24, 1953 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Shirley Kratsas. She married Walter S. Petrocelli on September 28, 1974. Sharon graduated from Perry High School in Pittsburgh and then from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She was a member of the former BVM Church and current member of Divine Grace Parish Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City. Mr. Terry L. Froce Sr., 75, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, August 18th, 2024 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Terry was born on November 15th, 1948 in Ellwood City to the late Louis S. and Marjorie (Averill) Froce. He attended Lincoln High School and briefly served in the United Sates Air Force. Patricia L. “Patty” Gibbs, 54, formerly of North Sewickley Township passed away on Friday, August 16th, 2024 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township. Patty was born in Ellwood City on October 5th, 1968 to the late Howard W. and Margaret H. (Weidle) Gibbs. She had graduated from Riverside High School and attended classes at the Community College of Beaver County. Mr. Lee A. Nocera, 80, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, August 11th, 2024 at his residence. Lee was born on April 12th, 1944 in Ellwood City, to the late John and Jessie (Perrotta) Nocera. Lee graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1962. After business school, Lee began working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC, working in the printing department.
