Mr. David James Mastropietro, 78, of Wayne Township passed away on Monday, January 16th, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Medical Center. Mr. Mastropietro was born in New Castle on May 29th, 1944 to the late James Joseph and Helen (Valentine) Mastropietro. David graduated from Mohawk High School with the class of 1962 where he was a record setting track star and Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1966. Royann Winfield, 62, of Ellport passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at her residence following a 3 1/2 year courageous battle with cancer. Royann faced her battle with cancer with strength, courage, and a positive attitude that was an example to all. Born August 5, 1960 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Dolores Geary Winfield. Royann graduated from Riverside in 1978 and Slippery Rock University in 1983. Mr. John L. Maielli, 88, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, January 8th, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Maielli was born in New Castle on July 3rd, 1934 to the late Samuel and Caroline (DeThomas) Maielli. He had graduated from NECA High School in New Castle with the class of 1952. Following high school, John served with the United States Army. After his service with the army John worked for Snyder’s of Berlin as a salesman for 43 years. Suella Ida Volpe, 80, formerly of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 in North Carolina following a short illness. Born November 15, 1942 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Orville Cox and Lorraine Kildoo Jeffers. Suella graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. She was part owner of The Kildoo Agency Insurance Company on Pittsburgh Circle until her retirement in 2010. Suella loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and traveling. Mrs. Deborah M. “Debbie” Agostinelli, 71, of Fombell passed away on January 7th, 1923 at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House in Summersville, South Carolina. Debbie was born on January 2nd, 1952 in Ellwood City, to the late John “Jack” and Shirley (Hall) Britton. She had attended Riverside High School. A homemaker, Debbie was always known for her wonderful cooking and attention to family. She was a great mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Born May 28, 1981 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Todd Boots and Rachelle Bellian Kruger. She was married to James Spaulding Sr. when he passed away on August 8, 2008.
