Dominick Russo, 75, of Ellwood City, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at UPMC Mercy. Born in New Castle on May 9, 1947, Dominick was the son of the late Bennie and Mary Rossi Russo.  He married the former Kathleen Tomon on April 24, 1969.  Dominick worked at Medusa Cement and later retired from Cemex.  After his retirement, he also worked at American Eagle in Cranberry Township.  A member of Divine Grace Parish, Dominick enjoyed cooking and baking, hunting and fishing, and working on cars.  He was always doing something for someone. Mr. James C. Spielvogel, 87, of Wayne Township passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 and was reunited with his beloved dog Rommel. Mr. Spielvogel was born on May 11th, 1935 in New Castle to the late George and Mary Rose (Delaney) Spielvogel. Jim is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1954, and the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Following high school Jim served with the United States Navy from 1952 until his discharge in 1957 and was a 100% disabled veteran. He had served in the Navy reserves for 10 months prior…

Mr. Umberto “Birdie” Carosi Jr., 92, of Perry Township passed away on October 21st, 2022 at The Grove in Harmony. Birdie was born on June 21st, 1930 in Ellwood City to the late Umberto and Josephine (Maggi) Carosi Sr.. He attended Lincoln High School, and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Birdie worked for U.S. Steel, and Elcast as a shift supervisor, and later for Del-Mar Golf Course as a grounds supervisor and starter. Christine Vincent, 69, of Ellwood City, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at her residence. Born in Ellwood City on March 21, 1953, Christine was the daughter of the late John and Olga Yakim Daransky.  She is survived by her husband, Bill Vincent whom she married on July 12, 1975.  Christine was a special education teacher at McGuire Home and later at Tiny Tots in Rochester.  A 1971 graduate of Lincoln High School and a 1975 graduate of Slippery Rock University, she was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church.  Christine enjoyed painting, crafts and cooking.  She…

John Guerrini, Sr., 84, of Ellport, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born in Perugia, Italy on December 26, 1937, John was the son of the late Leonello and Fiorinda Polinaro Guerrini.  John is survived by his wife, Mary DiFusco whom he married on April 4, 1959.  John was preceded in death by his aunt, Isabella Guerrini, who raised John after he left Italy and came to America. Annette Marie Allman, 60, of Ellwood City passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Allegheny General Hospital following a brief illness. Born June 7, 1962 in Ft. Lee Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Edward and Carmella Jeanette Allman. Annette worked at McGuire Home since 1997. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1980 and was Catholic by faith. Annette was an avid reader. She enjoyed classic rock music, especially Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and the Beatles.
