Mrs. Betty Ann Brown, 88, of Ellwood City passed away on December 1st, 2023 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township. Mrs. Brown was born on September 16th, 1935 in Ellwood City to the late Thomas L. and Pearl J. (Lasso) Beatrice. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1954 and the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. In her earlier years she worked at Jackson’s Shoe Store which was on Lawrence Ave. in Ellwood City. Michele Marie Harding, 68, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 1st, 2023 at her residence from natural causes. Michele was born in Ellwood City on July 22nd, 1955 to Bruno Suppa and the late Mary Jane “Peppy” (Manzo) Suppa. She was a Lincoln High School graduate, class of 1973. She studied at Slippery Rock University and Beaver County Community College for nursing. She served this community at the Ellwood City Hospital for over 40 years. Lois Jean Chappell, 95, of Wampum (formerly of Plant City, Fl.) passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at her daughter’s residence after a brief illness. Born July 21, 1928 in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Lester L. and Dorothy Sheiver Wehr. She married Howard D. Chappell in 1947. They were married for 59 years when he passed away in 2006. Lois had graduated from Zelienople High School in 1946. She owned “Country Touches” in Wampum and Zelienople and also worked as a waitress at the Kaufman House in Zelienople. Angelo S. Morini Jr., 81, of Ocala, Florida, (formerly of Ellwood City) passed away on Friday November 24, 2023. He was born on September 30, 1942 to the late Angelo Sr. and Lisa Ricciuti Morini. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Morini; three sons Matthew, Brian, and Jamie Morini, and two brothers Albert and Christopher Morini. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Beth and his son Mark Angelo at birth, and also by his brother Ronald Morini. Mrs. Mary Prestopine, 98, formerly of Schill Manor in Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 at Quality Life Services in New Castle. Mrs. Prestopine was born in Ellwood City on July 6th, 1925 to the late Antonio and Jennie (DeLoia) Pietrcollo. During World War II she worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill and later at Romar Textiles in Ellport for 25 years as a seamstress. Michael P. Cornelius, 32, of Perry Township passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at his residence. Born December 4, 1990 in Beaver, he was the son of Charles S. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, Christian, athlete, educator, coach, mentor, and friend, Donald J. “Ducky” Costa, of Frankin Township,  passed peacefully to his eternal reward on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
