Dorothy H. Walters, 102, of Grove City passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in Denver, NC. at the home of her daughter. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Palm) Reno and was born November 6, 1921, in Ellwood City. Minnie Ferrante, 95

On March 19, 1945 Minnie’s husband Sam was a survivor of the attack on the USS Franklin during World War II that killed over 700 men. On that day Sam always took off work as it was his “Lucky Day”. His lucky day still exists as his beloved wife Minnie went to join him for eternity as she passed away on his Lucky Day at Northview Estates. Joann VanGorder, 81, of Boyers, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully at Allegheny General Hospital on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
