Mrs. Marion C. Brown, 88, of Ellwood City, passed away early Sunday morning, December 14th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family Mrs. Brown was born on June 5th, 1937 in Beaver Falls to the late William and Annabel (Forney) Weber. She had attended Beaver Falls High School. She was a longtime member of the Homewood United Methodist Church. Marion held different jobs in her younger years, and finished her employment at Alsy Lamp Factory as a shade finisher. Ralph R. “Rod” Barber, 89, of West Pittsburg (formerly of Ellwood City and Wampum) passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at UPMC – Jameson Hospital following a short illness. Born November 27, 1936, in New Galilee, he was the son of the late Ralph L and Mildred Andrews Barber. He married Beverly McElwain Barber on April 21, 1958. Rod had many jobs throughout his life. Mrs. Minteer was born in Ellwood City on January 20th, 1944 to the late Vincent and Victoria (Garisto) DeCaria. She had graduated from Lincoln High School and is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Douglas M. Burr, of Ellwood City passed away on December 8, 2025, at AHN-Wexford following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Butler on October 14, 1965, to the late Edward and Blanche Eichenauer Burr. Doug graduated from Seneca Valley and worked at Gateway Recycling for 12 years. For 15 years he served as a Franklin Twp Volunteer Fireman. Doug was an avid fan of dirt track racing and was a valued member of the Shayne Izzo Motorsport Crew. She was born on April 5, 1939, in Spartansburg, PA, to Jay Morton and Irene Stover Macy. She graduated Salutatorian from Spartanburg High School in 1957.
