Rev. Carl E. “Chip” Hockenberry, 87, of North Sewickley Twp went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He had been under hospice care at the Ellwood City Hospital. Born October 27, 1929 in Franklin Twp. Beaver County, he was the son of the late Loyal Earl Hockenberry and Ethel Grace McCartney Hockenberry. Regis H. “Rick” Frederick Jr., 70, of New Beaver Boro passed away peacefully Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Born December 8, 1946 in Sewickley, he was the son of the late Regis and Mildred Louise McConnell Frederick Sr. He was married for 49 years to Darlene A. Brown Frederick who survives. They were married December 30, 1967. Regis worked at several companies, most recently at Universal Refractories where he served as the Vice President and Controller. Dakota Joe Olinger, 22, of New Castle passed away Friday, September 29, 2017. Dakota was a self employed construction worker. He enjoyed fishing and was of the Catholic faith. He was known for always being a jokester but he was always there for everyone if they needed anything. His most cherished time was spent with his son and family. James L. Miller, 85, of Third Ave., Koppel passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver following an extended illness. Born February 25, 1932 in Massillon, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank J.and Teresa Zsizsik Miller. He was married for 51 years to Jane Rankin Miller who passed away October 9, 2003. Kate Macom, 82, of Murphy’s Cut Rd., Chewton passed away peacefully Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. Born March 17, 1935 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Russell F. and Ann Bessell Murphy. She was married for 48 years to James A. Macom who passed away August 24, 2008.
