Mildred “Millie”Markle, 98, of Villa Maria, PA formerly of New Castle, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in New Caste, PA.
She was the daughter of Joseph and Hallie Cheek Bennett and was born on July 30, 1921 in Bel Air, MD.
She is preceded in death by her husband, of 62 years, Lawrence L. Markle, grandsons; John Ramsey and Tom Songer and a great-grandson Daniel Ramsey.
She was a member of Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles, which she always did in pen, because she was never wrong. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be missed and loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her four daughters; Cindy Doolittle (James) of Nashville, TN, Teri Perry ( Leslie) of Edinburg, PA, Claudia Welshhans (Rich) of Amelia Island, FL, and Dawn Ramsey of Kannapolis , NC, grandchildren; Eric Ramsey (Debbie) of Denver, NC, Stephanie Blanton (Aaron) of Concord, NC, Susan Usery (Blair) of Spring Hill TN, Jennifer (Jose) Adame of Santa Barbara, CA, Kristy (Aaron) Jasnow of Hudson, OH, Erin (Lucas) Rider of Boardman, OH, and Joel Perry of Edinburg, PA, great-grandchildren; Joshua Usery, Brittany Weaklend (Michael), Tori Blanton, Johnny Ramsey, Kristen Ramsey, Elliott Adame, Isaac Adame, Avery Jasnow, Dylan Jasnow, and Emmalynne Rider, great-great grandchildren; Isaac Weaklend, Levi Weaklend, and Zarenidy and Timmy Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday, December 14, 2019 with Funeral Services following at 2:00pm, with Rev Carolyn Moss, officiating, at The Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church located at 258 Slippery Rock Drive in Ellwood City. Interment will be in Slippery Rock Presbyterian Cemetery. The TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, PA. is entrusted with arrangements.
