Robert S. Tardiff, 64, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 following a lengthy illness. Robert was born on February 16, 1954 in Warwick, RI to the late John and Marilyn (Ruest) Tardiff. He had worked as a fabricator, welder, and foreman while living in Houston, TX. Robert enjoyed woodworking, doing yard work, and mostly enjoying life with others. Mrs. Concetta E. “Connie”  Manzo, 94, of Ellwood City, passed away early Friday morning on June 22, 2018 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Connie was born on March 3, 1924 in Ellwood City to the late Antonio Nocera and Antoinette (DiCerbo) Nocera. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1942. Connie married Emmett Manzo on August 22, 1946. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. Sara I. Vaneman, 100, of Old Pittsburgh Rd. , New Castle passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Haven Nursing Home following a short illness. Born May 5, 1918 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late James and Grace Mayberry Edwards . Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David R. Mr. Roy A. “Mac” Welsh, Jr., 92, of Franklin Twp. passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Welsh was born on March 30, 1926 in Ellwood City to the late Roy and Alice (Adams) Welsh, Sr..  He enlisted with the U.S. Army on September 20, 1945 and served with the Company E 346th Engineer General Service as a Technician fifth grade until his discharge on January 31, 1947.
