Mary Ann Shaffer, 77 of Franklin Twp., formerly of Ellport passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 22, 2019. Born in Ellwood City on April 2, 1942, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Oczkowski Micklish.  Mary Ann was a member of Wurtemburg Methodist Church and active at the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City, where she belonged to the quilting club and volunteered at the soup kitchen.  Mary Ann worked as a legislative assistant for 17 years.  She was very community active when she lived in Ellport, where she was past president…

Mr. Carl A. Custozzo, 85, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Mr. Custozzo was born on December 27, 1933 in Ellwood City to the late Steve and Dorothy Custozzo. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1952. Drafted by the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he served 2 years active duty stationed in Germany, and served as a Medic 15th EVAC Hospital dispatcher. Donald F. McGeorge, 89, of North Beaver Twp. passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at Avalon Nursing Center following a short illness. Born July 5, 1930 in Enon Valley, he was the son of the late C. Marvin and Clara (Herb) McGeorge. Don formerly worked at Clark’s Dairy and then at Ace Protective Services where he was a security guard. He graduated from Mt. Jackson high School in 1948.    Jean Aleta Ball Kirk, 93, of Edison Manor, New Castle,  passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Edison Manor. She was born on October 24, 1925 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Wendell Phillip and Bessie Hasely Ball. Along with her parents, Jean operated Walmo Gardens on Maitland Lane for 50 years, living her whole life in New Castle. She also worked at Lark Enterprises on the Ellwood-New Castle Road. Catherine A. Leindecker, 73, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Born January 31, 1946 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Tschannon) Bauer. Catherine formerly worked at the Haines Company. Raymond J. Tomaszewski, 88 of Economy Borough, passed away at Rochester Manor on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Born September 18, 1937, Shirley was the daughter and step-daughter of the late Olive and Jack Graham.  She married Joseph J.
