Mrs. Julia G. Blatch, 97, formerly of Ellport passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Avalon Nursing Center in New Castle. Mrs. Blatch was born on March 18, 1922 in Ellport to the late Alexander and Mary (Takacs) Pazsint. She had worked the US Steel Mill in Ellwood City during World War II, the Ellwood City Knitting Mill, and as a waitress at various places in the Ellwood area. Mr. Victor P. Jacobs, 81, of Franklin Township passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver. Mr. Jacobs was born on August 26, 1938 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to the late Joseph and Yetta (Baker) Jacobs. Victor had worked at the Ellwood City Iron and Wire and later at Industrial Equipment Fabricators, Inc. in Ellwood City as a welder and layout man. Frank Boyd Steffler, 92, of Franklin Twp., Ellwood City passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at his residence. Former  area  resident Russel A. Ebert, 105,  passed away at his residence in Palm Desert, CA. on August 23, 2019. Russel was born in Zelienople on May 7, 1914 to the late William H. and Elizabeth Domhoff Ebert.  He married the former Tina Kondrasuk, who preceded him in death.
