Joseph H. Youngblood, 90, of Ellport, passed away in the ER of UPMC Jameson Hospital on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. Born in Jackson Township, Butler County on September 11, 1929, Joe was the son of the late Peter Leo and Ida Elizabeth Miller Youngblood.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nancy Rutter, who passed away on October 20, 1993.  They were married on November 21, 1952.  Joe liked to inform his friends that with over 50 years of service he was the oldest Lawrence Co. Elizabeth Lucille Gleghorn Huston, 98, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at her home in Enon Valley. She was born October 11, 1921 in Mt.Jackson to the late John A. and Esther (Reed) Gleghorn. She was married to Wayne E. Huston who preceded her in death. Lucille, also known as Libby Lou, was a graduate of North Beaver High School in Mt. Jackson and a 1943 graduate of Jameson Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle, working many years as a Registered Nurse. Frederick R. Hartwell, 84, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 6, 2020 at his residence. Born September 29, 1935 in Greenfield, MA, he was the son of the late Harry D. and Elizabeth C. (Bridges) Hartwell. Fred was formerly employed at Harvey Aluminum and Martin Metals and Alloys. He served in the Marines during the Korean War. Fred enjoyed being with friends and playing pool. He was generous in life and enjoyed taking care of family and friends. Florence Marshall Hazen, 93, formerly of Ellwood City passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Jameson Care Center following a lengthy illness. Born September 11, 1926 in Portersville, she was the daughter of the late William and Alta Vivian Rosser. Florence graduated from Portersville High School and Geneva College. She taught at Wayne Twp. Elementary School until the birth of her first child. Florence enjoyed camping and the outdoors. In Florida, she lived at the American Outdoors RV Park where she taught water exercising for 25 years. Mrs. Camilla Fellner, 89, died at Heritage Valley Beaver, Beaver PA on February 9, 2020, following a two-week illness. Camilla was born in Ellwood City on July 22, 1930, to the late Domenick DeCampli and Adeline (Trivilino) DeCampli. She had graduated from Lincoln High School, and received a Bachelors Degree from Mercyhurst College in Education. After receiving her degree, she taught at BVM elementary school, until the birth of her first child. Gale Arthur Tillia, 86, of Shenango Twp., New Castle passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford following a lengthy illness. Dennis L. Graham, 72, of Shenango Twp, New Castle passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born January 6, 1948 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Loron and Lillian (Reynolds) Graham. Denny was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Following graduation he joined the Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Faith Country Chapel Church. Mr. Silas H. Patton, 81, of Ellwood City (North Sewickley Twp.) passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Patton was born on January 18, 1939 in West Homestead, Pa to the late Herbert F. and Minnie L. (Miracle) Patton. He had enlisted with the U.S. Army on February 5, 1957 and served with the Headquarter Battery 17th Field Artillery Regiment at Fort Sill in Oklahoma until his discharge on October 21, 1957.
