Mr. George Jacobs, 90, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph in Baden. Mr. Jacobs was born on March 15, 1929, in New Castle to the late Amon and Martha (Shaheen) Jacobs. He graduated from New Castle High School with the class of 1947. On January 30, 1947, George enlisted with the United States Marine Corp. He served with the Second Tank Battalion, Second Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force as a tank crewman, later a tank commander. Born August 12, 1960 in Connellsville, PA, he was the son of the late Ray Sutherland and Willa Fern (Shelling) Sutherland of Hopwood, PA. Born July 29, 1928 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Frances (Miller) Tanner. M. Patricia Seaburn, 81, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh surrounded by loved ones. Born July 28, 1938 in McKeesport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl Woodferd and Mildred Virginia (Johnson) Dougherty. As a child, she moved with her parents and sister to the Shadyrest area of Ellwood City and grew up along the Connoquenessing Creek, spending many days canoeing and caring for her pet animals. Cindy L. Stabryla, 61, of Chewton, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in the emergency room at UPMC Jameson.
