Mrs. Anne “Anna” M. (Thomas) Conti, 100, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople. Mrs. Conti was born on January 18, 1920 in Ellwood City to the late Rocco DeTommaso and Mary C. (Montango DeTommaso) DeFilippo. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1938. She had worked for Leeds & Northrup for 10 years retiring in 1982. Anna was also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers, Corona D’Italia, and the Golden Agers. Harold “Pete” Shipe, 88, of Ellwood City, formerly of Valencia, passed away in his residence on Monday, December 14, 2020 after an extended illness. Born in Munhall, PA on August 17, 1932, Pete was the son of the late Albert and Jennie Ahlberg Shipe.  He married the former Carol Coleman on May 2, 1959.  Pete retired from Midland Title Insurance, where he worked as a title examiner.  A Veteran of the US Army, Pete served during the Korean War and later in the US Army Reserves.  He was a member the Mars VFW Post 7505.  Pete enjoyed hunting and he…

Mr. Patsy Natale Izzo “Neizer,” 90, of Ellwood City passed peacefully following a battle to COVID-19 and Pneumonia on December 9, 2020 at Jameson Hospital in New Castle, PA. Patsy was born on August 26, 1930 to the late Frank and Angeline (Prestopine) Izzo. Patsy was a Roman Catholic. Patsy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. He was President of the Optimist Club and he coached baseball in the Pony League as well as coaching and playing softball for many years. Mrs. Pauline Conforti, 88, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by family Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Pauline was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the perfect example of a strong matriarch for her family, a pillar of her community, and woman of God. C. Frank Stuart, 84, of Ellwood City passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born January 18, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Charles H. and June Christie Stuart . He was married to Joyce L. Wehman who passed away October 10, 2010. Frank was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1953. After high school, he served in the United States Army from 1955 until 1958. Peter “Pete” Christophe, Jr., 60, of Perry Township, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the emergency room at UPMC Jameson. Born in Ellwood City on November 4, 1960, Pete was the son of the late Peter and Margaret Palmer Christophe. Pete married the former Barbara Sommers on September 20, 1986 and together with their children, they owned and operated 4 Ways in Shenango Township.
