David Buano, 91, of Ellwood City passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Jameson Hospital. Born April 10, 1929 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Jack and Portia Moore Buano. He was married to Janice Rozen Buano in 1957. She passed away on December 20, 2011. David graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, from 1951-1953. He was a graduate of Geneva College. He enjoyed family, sports, bowling, and gardening. Thomas L. Poholsky, 75, of Ellwood City passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler. Born April 28, 1945 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Albert W. and Joan M. Lloyd Poholsky. Thomas was a graduate of Lincoln High School and also attended Penn State University. He was a Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Hollister in the Subic Bay during the Vietnam War. He was an employee at the B&W for many years. Earla M. Hardy, 59, of North Beaver Township was called home to God on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Born September 11, 1961 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Sarah Curry Hardy with whom she resided, and the late William Hardy Sr. Earla was a member of Victory Christian Center. She spent many years employed by AT&T, as the lead trainer in New Castle, and then as a manager in Baltimore, MD. Sue Elaine Marshall, 84, of Ellwood City passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Butler Memorial Hospital. Born April 19, 1936 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late James and Jeanne Remley Cooper. She was married to Robert C. Marshall who passed on September 22, 2004. Sue was a 1954 graduate of Shenango High School and a 1957 graduate of Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Paul F. “Fred” Kosior, 84, of Chewton passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital following a short illness. Born July 20, 1936 in Chewton, he was the son of the late Edward and Sophie Modliszewski Kosior. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Russell Trucking for over 30 years. Fred was a member of the former St. Monica’s in Wampum and a current member of Holy Redeemer. He was a member and past president of the Chewton P.N.A. George G. Russell Sr., 90, of New Galilee, passed on Tuesday January 12, 2021 under the gentle care of the Heritage Valley Beaver Medical Center. George was the patriarch of a large family, a pillar in the church and community, and well loved and respected by many.
