Mr. John “Jack” Ferguson, 84, of Ellwood City passed away at the Jameson Care Center in New Castle on Tuesday April 6, 2021 following an extended illness. Born in Pittsburgh on November 5 1936, he was the son of the late John D. and May (Harrison) Ferguson of Mount Jackson. Jack graduated from Mount Jackson High School in 1954. He was employed at Calgon in Ellwood City from 1977 until his retirement from Nalco in 2000. He also worked as a courtesy driver for McElwain’s Motor Car Company in Ellwood City from 2002 until 2010. Melvin O. Main, 69, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on April 5th, 2021 at the Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Melvin was born on January 12th, 1952 in Ellwood City, to the late Marshall O. and Viola June (Shuster) Main. He graduated from Riverside High School with the class of 1970 and was a member of Wiley Hill Baptist Church. Melvin enjoyed bowling, fishing, and watching Steeler games. Cory Michael Kinder, 32, of Pershing Street, Ellwood City, passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, on Friday April 2, 2021. Born in New Castle on Aug. 25, 1988, he was the son of Michele Renee Kinder Caravella. Cory was a kind, special young man. Charles A. Young Jr., 89, of Ellwood City went to rest with his lord and savior on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021. Chuck was born in Ellwood City to the late Chuck and Winfred ( Cooney) Young Sr.. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class 1949. Chuck enlisted with the U.S. Navy on August 23rd, 1949 and was discharged on September 14th, 1951. Pastor Ronald L. Follett, 84, of Franklin Township passed away on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 at the Beaver Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Pastor Follett was born on January 22, 1937 in Ellwood City to the late James and Margaret (Burnside) Follett. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1954. John J. Regule, 92, of The Villages, Florida and formerly of Sharon, PA, fell asleep in the Lord on the morning of Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Born in 1928 in Sharon, PA, John was the son of immigrant parents from Romania. His parents owned the LyJor (named for his parents Lydia and John D. Regule) Gas Station, Hotel, and Restaurant Bar in Sharon.
