Mrs. Ann Walker, 80, of Freedom passed away on Monday, July 29th, 2024 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township. Ann was born in Ellwood City on January 19th, 1944 to the late Adam and Rose (DeBlasio) Vincik. She worked for Rockwell Spring Works in New Castle, and then at Leeds and Northrup as a machine operator. Ann enjoyed camping and fishing. “Though she be but little, she is fierce.” On July 18, 2024, Winifred Yvonne Goatley Daniel departed this life at the home of her daughter after a short illness. Born in Chewton, PA August 20, 1937 to William and Imogene Goatley, she graduated from Wampum High School (’55) and Central State University (BA ’60). She went on to teach grades 1-8 for over forty years in the CMSD, Maple Heights City Schools and Warren City Schools districts. Paul Leonard Petrak, 89, of Gibsonia, PA, formerly of Melbourne, FL passed away on July 21, 2024 of natural causes. Dwain R. Guy, 87, of New Beaver Borough passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 22, 2024 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital. Born October 12, 1936 in North Beaver Township, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Edith E. McDonald Guy. He was married Shirley Brommer Guy. Dwain had retired from the Wampum Underground where he worked in shipping.
