Carol J. Pistachio, 74, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Carol was born in Ellwood City on May 17, 1947 to the late Samuel R. and Lucy (Armalinda) Pistachio. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1965, and later earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Slippery Rock University. Carol worked for Penn State University, Beaver Campus as a librarian. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, and was a volunteer for the Ellwood City Historical Society. Glenda L. Cancelliere, 60, of Franklin Township passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 29, 2021 at her residence. Glenda was born in New Brighton on February 23, 1961 to the late William S. Cancelliere and Sandra Leann (Barnett) Ringle. She is a member of the Riverside High School class of 1981, and the Lillyville Church of God. She also attended the Phoenix Drop In Center in Rochester. Merle H. Rhodes, 76 of Youngstown, OH formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Canfield Place Assisted Living. Born in Olean, NY on April 3, 1945, Merle was the son of the late Cleone L. and Millie Remington Rhodes.  Merle was an operations supervisor for Columbia Gas Transmissions.  He was a veteran of the Army serving with the 82nd Airborne in Vietnam and Korea.  Merle will be remembered as a kind and accepting person with a good sense of humor, who never met a stranger.  He always knew how to light up a room.  He…
