Albert R. Leopardi, 83, of Franklin Township, passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 27, 2021. Born in Ellwood City on October 4, 1938, Albert was the son of the late Albert and Thressa Ritorto Leopardi.  Albert is survived by his wife, the former Linda Fabian, whom he married on February 19, 1994.  He had worked as a machinist at American Steel and later retired from the Ellwood City Forge. Mr. Lou L. Gatto, 93, passed on from this Earth on December 23rd, 2021 at 3:00 pm. The world will greatly miss our patriarch, but heaven will rejoice. Very Rev. Protopresbyter Michael Polanichka reposed in The Lord on Monday morning, December 20, 2021 at the age of 85. Born July 17,1936 in Scranton, PA to the late Nicholas and Susan (Chuvan) Polanichka.Proto. Michael entered the Diocesan Seminary of Christ the Savior in Johnstown, PA in September 1956 and graduated in June 1960. On June 11, 1960 he married the former Eleanor Jean Hazuda in Nesquehoning, PA and they just celebrated their 61st Wedding anniversary in June 2021. Michael J. “Mike” Evanick, 67, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 AHN Wexford Hospital, surrounded by his family. After a two-year battle with lung cancer, Mr. Don W. Buzard Sr., 78 of Ellwood City passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver on December 20, 2021. Born May 26, 1943 to Wade & Viette Buzard, Don spent his life in Ellwood, save for a four-year tour with the US Navy, which came after graduating from Lincoln High School in 1961. Thomas E. “Tom” Hupp, 72, of Cranberry Township passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at the Celebration Villa of Allison Park. Tom was born on May 11th, 1949 in Ellwood City to the late Lester D. and Della (Chiolo) Hupp. He graduated from Riverside High School with the class of 1967 and from Clarion State College with a degree in Education in 1971. Tom then became an English teacher for Riverside High School in 1971 and worked there until his retirement in 2005. Mr. Domenico A. Mundo, 79, of Ellwood City passed away at the Haven in New Castle, Sunday, December 19th, 2021, following a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Married to Janice Alfonso on November 30th, 1968, he is the son of the late Marie Adams Mundo and Domenico Mundo.
