POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

THEFT: Devin Brandon, 35, of Ellwood City, is charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Theft by Deception after an incident reported on March 6th. According to a criminal complaint, a victim reported a theft that occurred at a residence on Wampum Avenue whereas the victim reported to have hired Brandon to complete work on his truck and Harley Davidson and paid Brandon up front for parts before completing the work. Bernstine Proposes Bill to Classify Drag Shows as ‘Adult Business’

HARRISBURG – Following several PA events where drag performances appealing to children have been held, Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Lawrence/Butler) has proposed legislation in the state House to reclassify drag performances as “adult-oriented business.” The legislation intends to protect children by banning drag shows on public property or in areas that can be seen by minors. “Parents should have peace of mind that their children won’t be exposed to minor-marketed or sexually suggestive drag shows without their consent,” Bernstine said. “In no world should we be allowing these types of shows to occur in public libraries, schools or other public property…

Penn Power Conducting Aerial Saw Operations On Friday

Helicopter to trim trees? You better keep an eye to the sky on Friday. Please be advised that on April 7th, and weather permitting, Aerial Solutions Inc. will be mobilizing to West Penn Power and will be conducting Aerial Saw Operations. Aerial Saw Operations are scheduled to take place March through December, covering select Distribution and Sub-Transmission facilities system-wide annually.
