Florida Company Promises Better Future for Ellwood City Hospital

The Ellwood City Hospital has changed many times since its official opening in 1910, but has only recently been struggling to keep the doors open over the past couple decades. The facility is now looking forward to a brighter future after being sold to Americore Health LLC, a Florida based company specializing in acquiring and managing rural hospitals. CEO Carolyn Izzo stated that after other local hospitals obtained partnerships she knew that the Ellwood City Hospital would also benefit from a partnership. Mayor Anthony J. Court spent an enjoyable morning at the Ellwood City Early Learning Center reading to two groups of five year old children. Mayor Court sends a special thank you to the teachers Mrs. McCaslin and Mrs. Glass for allowing him to participate in the classroom, expressing what an enjoyable morning he had reading poetry. Brough, Cress, Fisher, and Guerrera Announce Run for Ellwood City Borough Council

With several seats up for election, four local residents announced their candidacy for the Ellwood City Borough Council; Rob Brough, John Cress, Brandon Fisher, and Lisa Guerrera stated that they are teaming up to bring positive reforms to Ellwood City Borough.
