Borough Of Ellwood City Announces Utility Account Budget Plan

The Ellwood City Borough Council adopted Resolution #2004-4 which approves a budget payment plan for utility accounts. These accounts, however, have to be under certain provisions. Provision one states that customers may complete the application form provided by the Borough during the annual open enrollment period. This period is from the third Monday in March through the third Friday in April. Following, the second provision mentions that the first budget-billing amount will appear on the May utility bill. Potential New Drug Testing Policy At Riverside

On Monday, the Riverside community gathered in the Riverside High School cafeteria for an Informational Night for parents. The topic of discussion was Riverside’s possible new Drug Testing Policy. Parents with children in all grades came out to give their opinion on the subject at matter, and while some seemed to support it, the rest had more questions rather than support. The policy would target Riverside students in grades 7 through 12. Senator Vogel Proposes Farmer “Legacy” Tax Credit

With the “graying” of Pennsylvania’s farm families, Senator Elder Vogel is preparing to introduce legislation that will encourage existing farmers and landowners to work with beginning farmers to help them get started. “My legislation provides a personal income tax credit for landowners who lease or sell their land, buildings, and equipment to beginning farmers,” said Senator Vogel, who serves as Chairman of the Senate Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee and operates a family farm in Beaver County that was established in the late 1800s. “The number one concern faced by new farmers is finding affordable farmland. Local YSU Student A Part Of Equestrian Team’s Ride To National Semifinals

The Youngstown State University Western Equestrian team has qualified for the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association Western Semifinals, March 16- 17, at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.
