Cub Scout Pack 806 Holds Pinewood Derby

Ellwood City’s local Cub Scout Pack 806 held its annual Pinewood Derby on March 13 at the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City with 35 boys participating. The top three finishers were Tiger Scout, Paul Agnew, first place, Webelo Scout, Jacob Donley, second place and Wolf Scout, Liam Woloszyn, third place. Fan Favorites was presented to Tiger Scouts, Wyatt Kyle and Luke Johnston. Best Effort/Sportsmanship was presented to Wolf Scout, Eddie Britton. Two LHS Students Recognized For LCCTC Pride & Promise Award

Two Lincoln High School students were among four dedicated senior Cosmetology students who received the Lawrence County Career & Technical Center (LCCTC) March 2021 Pride & Promise Award Each student was recognized at the JOC Board meeting last week for achieving 1,250 hours during their three years of study at LCCTC. In a public meeting nocie announcement, the Ellwood City Area School Board of Directors has scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 8, 2021 starting at 6:00 p.m. The combined Committee and Regular Board meeting will follow as previously scheduled. Attention Lincoln and Riverside High School Seniors: The annual Ellwood City Area Historical Society Scholarship submission is quickly approaching. In hand deadline is Thursday April 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award two $1500.00 scholarships to two (2) graduating seniors. Ellwood City Wrestling Holding A Raffle Fundraiser

Even though the high school wresting season has ended, the Ellwood City Wrestling Booster Club is working to continue to raise funds for their team. With many prior fundraising activities cancelled due to COVID-19, the club will be holding a fundraising raffle to support junior high and varsity wrestling.
