Borough of Ellwood City Announces Annual Clean-Up Date

If you have waste to get rid of, here’s your chance. The Borough of Ellwood City has announced information on its upcoming annual clean-up day scheduled for next month. The clean up date is Saturday, October 16th from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Drop off location is the parking lot at 1200 Factory Avenue in Ellwood City, just west of Adams Manufacturing Building #4 and prior to the Moose Lodge The cost is $10.00 per passenger vehicle for drop offs. POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

HARRASSMENT: According to a police report, and on September 21st at approximately 9:35 a.m., two neighbors in New Beaver Borough got into a disturbance that turned into physical assault. New Castle State Police were dispatched to the disturbance between the neighbors and on scene it was found that a 31-year-old female was assaulted by the male neighbor and threaten by another male. Charges for harassment were filed on both arrestee’s out of Judge Jerry Cartwright’s office. Mayor Court Presents Proclamation To Eric Rayner

Mayor Anthony J. Court presents a proclamation to Eric Rayner for his volunteer work in Ellwood City. Rayner has raised over $11,230.00 to continue the tradition of the Ellwood City festival fireworks through various fundraisers in the community including band bash events. Lincoln High School will celebrate its 65th Annual Homecoming on Friday, October 1st, when the Ellwood City Wolverines host the Neshannock Lancers at Helling Stadium. Route 288 Realignment Project Ongoing, On Track For Completion As Scheduled

Barring any unforeseen field issues, the realignment and construction of Route 288 near the Zelienople Airport in on track for completion as scheduled. The roadway is currently closed and under detour as part of a 102-day closure for the realignment project. According to PENNDOT spokesperson Steve Cowan, the contractor anticipates completing the work within the contract parameters. Holy Redeemer Social Club Planning Annual Casino Trip

The Holy Redeemer Social Club is planning its annual trip to Seneca Niagara next month. The trip is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Meals on Wheels Seeking Cook, Volunteers, Clients

Meals on Wheels, the beloved program that offers nutritional meals to those in need is looking for a cook. The position will be a Monday-Friday job from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The person will order and receive foods, prepare the foods, and organize the volunteers.
