Grady Smith Earns The MVS Elks Scholarship

Grady Smith has been named a National Elks Scholar and a recipient of their Most Valuable Student Scholarship. The Elks National Foundation scholarship program recognizes students in several categories including community service, honors and awards, extracurricular involvement, employment and academics. Route 422 Daylight Single-lane Restrictions Begin Next Week in Lawrence County

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing improvement work on the Route 65 bridge over Route 422 (US 422/Benjamin Franklin Highway) in Shenango Township, Lawrence County will begin Monday, March 27 weather permitting. Single-lane and shoulder restrictions will occur on Route 422 under the Route 65 bridge weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through late May. Crews will conduct bridge rehabilitation work. Applications Available for Ellwood City Facade Improvement Project

During Monday’s Borough Council Meeting, Borough Manager Kevin Swogger announced projects around town that will work to spruce up the business fronts and well as the streets. He said the Ellwood City Façade Improvement Program is underway and two businesses have already submitted applications including Posies by Patti and Grand Paws Pet Salon. Court has issued the following information concerning defaced license plates: If your license plate is defaced and you are stopped by the Ellwood City Police Department, you will be provided a form to fill out and an officer will inspect your plate.
