Beaver County Conservation District Hosting Tire Collection Event

The Beaver County Conservation District’s Mosquito Vector Disease Program is hosting a one-day tire collection at the district office and environmental center October 22, 2022. The collection is open to Beaver County residents and accepting car and light truck tires up to 20” off rim. This event is funded through the DEP West Nile Program. The cost is $1.25 per tire, this event is collecting a total tire count of 300.  This event is cash only. Event hours are 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pre-Registration required for the tire collection event. Ellwood City Wolves Den Honors American Legion Post 157

The Ellwood City Wolves Den II met on Wednesday, September 14th and honored American Legion Post 157 with their Pro Bono Publico Award. American Legion Post 157 was instrumental in bringing the half size replica of the Vietnam War Memorial, “The Moving Wall”, back to Ellwood City on August 18 through August 21, 2022. EC Historical Society Monthly Meeting Wrap-Up

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society started their 2022-2023 season with a dinner meeting at the Connoquennesing Country Club on Monday, September 12th. President Everett Bleakney welcomed all in attendance, and reminded them of the Society’s mission to Collect, Protect, Preserve and make the History of the Ellwood City Area available to all. Gov. Wolf: $246 Million Awarded to Support Small Businesses Across Pennsylvania

The Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation was among the 21 economic development organizations to receive upwards of $123.8 million in revolving loan funds to help aid small businesses in the county. The Revolving Loan Fund program provides funding to economic development organizations to create or recapitalize revolving loan funds to support financing for Pennsylvania small businesses. The Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation is slated to received $1,122,500.00 in funds.
