Morella Earns WPCC All-Academic Honors

(Butler, PA) Butler County Community College’s most recent All-American in one sport en route to setting a school record in another is among 17 BC3 student-athletes on the fall 2018 Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference all-academic team and one of seven honored for a third consecutive semester. (Butler, PA) Butler County Community College is proud to announce the names of students who have made the President’s List and Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester, as well as the names of those who have graduated recently. Students who have achieved a cumulative GPA (grade-point average) of 3.75 or higher are named to the President’s List following completion of at least 12 semester hours or upon completion of degree requirements. Riverside Graduate Release Her First EP

Local Riverside graduate, Sarah Espen, has just made a name for her in the music world by releasing an EP in late December. Espen graduated from Riverside in 2012, only to pick up and move to Nashville, Tennessee after. “I wrote my first song with my dad when I was 5 years old.” Espen said, “And I haven’t stopped writing since.” Growing up, Espen was surrounded by music. Back in early December of 2018, a new UPMC Primary Care facility moved into the Giant Eagle Plaza in Ellwood City. New Ellwood City Borough Manager Elected at November Council Meeting

Ellwood City Council votes on new borough manager at the monthly meeting on November 19. All council members were present at the meeting except Mayor, Anthony J. Court. Ellwood City Council has finally permanently filled the borough manager position for the upcoming year. The council voted 5-2 for William David Allen to be the new full-time borough manger. Ellwood City Council: Monthly Agenda Meeting Rundown

Ellwood City Council held their regular monthly agenda meeting on November 13. All council members were present at the meeting except Mayor, Anthony J. Court due to a prior engagement. While there are many stories without a known origin, like the tale of Bloody Mary, The Hook, or even the well known tales of the creature Slenderman, one known legend claims local Koppel Pa it’s origin.
