Pittsburgh Steelers to Play Basketball Game at Lincoln High School

For the first time in several years, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be playing a basketball game at Lincoln Junior Senior High School. The LHS Caring Team is sponsoring the event in which current and former members of the Pittsburgh Steelers will play against a team of Ellwood City Area School District faculty members and some players from this year’s boys basketball team. The game will tip off at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28, following a co-ed game featuring alumni from Lincoln’s boys’ and girls’ teams at 7:00. Wampum’s Wine & Beer Festival Set For March 24

The Wampum Area Revitalization Committee will hold a Wine & Beer Festival from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on March 24th at the Wampum Gymnasium, located at 372 Main Street. Regional craft beer and wine makers will be present to offer tastings and products. Food and appetizers will be provided by the Lawrence County Career and Technology Center ( LCCTC) Restaurant Trade Program direct by Jennifer Price. The Ellwood Area Egg Hunt Committee is in need of donations to help make their 23rd annual community Easter Egg hunt a success. This year, the 23rd Annual Community Easter Egg hunt will take place Saturday, March 24th in Ewing Park for ALL area children ages 10 and under.  The events start at 11:00 and also at this time the 4 & under hunts will start, followed at 12:00pm with all other hunts beginning.
