Ellwood City Yard Waste Pick Up

Yard waste pick up for Ellwood City is scheduled for the week of May 13. According to the Ellwood City Borough: YARD WASTE PICK UP: Green borough yard waste bins are also available for residents to dispose of their simple yard waste. Yard waste bins are available for purchase for $53.00 and can be purchased at the borough utility office or by calling 724-758-5576. Yard waste bins are collected on specified weeks throughout the calendar years. Dates are also provided on borough utility bills. 2018 Lincoln High School Prom “Written in the Stars”

The 2018 Lincoln High School Prom “Written in the Stars” will be held on Friday May 4th, 2018 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, New Castle Pa. The annual Lincoln High School promenade will begin at 5:30. Doors open at 5:00 and tickets can be purchased at the door or in the High School Office. Ticket’s for this years promenade are $3.00 a piece and seating is first come first serve. Town Hall Meeting to Discuss House Bill 2030

An informational “Save Our Town” meeting has been planned for Thursday May 3, beginning at 6:30pm at the Ellwood City Municipal Building Auditorium. A recent passage in Harrisburg of House Bill 2030 (HB 2030) specifically targeting Ellwood City Borough has raised serious concerns on the future of the town. Ellwood City for years has transferred money from the electric fund to balance the Borough’s general fund budget. Relay For Life Fundraiser at The Moose Friday, May 11, 2018 8:00 – 11:00 P.M. The Lawrence County Car Show is a family friendly event featuring cars, face painting and music. Lillyville Church of God Clothing Closet

Lillyville Church of God has a clothing closet that provides free clothing and shoes to individuals and families experiencing hardships in Franklin Township and the surrounding areas. The next clothing closet date is April 23 5:30pm to 7pm. There will be spring and summer clothes available. Selections will be limited, but shopping bags will be provided. Lillyville Church of God is located on 408 Hickernell Rd. The next clothing closet will be on August 13, fall clothing will be available.


Ellwood City Football Alumni Dinner Scheduled

The Ellwood City Football Boosters club will be organizing and holding an alumni dinner on Saturday May 12, 2018 at Wayne Township Firehall. Social hour begins at 5:00pm with dinner following at 6:00pm, served by Smokin’ Dave’s BBQ.  The cost for the event is $30.00 and RSVPs must be received by May 4th.
