Friday, June 8th:

“The Odd Couple”: The New Castle Playhouse presents “The Odd Couple” in the Annex Theatre from June 8th – 10th. For Tickets Call 724-654-3437 or visit the website here. Thursday-Saturday performances begin at 7:30pm and Sunday performances begin at 2pm.

“The Up and Down Detective Agency”: See the comedy “The Up and Down Detective Agency” at the Red Barn Theatre at 8pm on June 7-9 & 14-16. The year is 1938 and they’re about to take on one of their most puzzling cases and end up knee deep in a case that involves kidnapping and stolen diamonds. Call 724-431-1707 for reservations.

Saturday, June 9th:

Ellwood City Farmers’ Market: Every Saturday through October 6th 8:00 AM until Noon, Live music from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Located in the Beaver Avenue Parking Lot (500 Block), FREE PARKING DOWNTOWN!

Electronic & Hazardous Waste Collection Event: Franklin Twp Municipal Building will be collecting electronics and hazardous household wastes from 9am-1pm at 897 State Route 288, Fombell PA. Fees will be assessed per pound. Pre-registration is required. Call for an appointment 866-815-0016 or register online at www.ecsr.net.

Club Hope Foundation GRAND OPENING: Come join the Club Hope Foundation for their Grand Opening at 237 Sixth St, Ellwood City! Ribbon cutting will be at 1pm followed by hot dogs for all who attend.

Debbie’s Delicious Desserts GRAND OPENING: Come join the Club Hope Foundation for their Grand Opening at 366 Circle Way, Ellwood City from 8am-5pm. Ribbon cutting will be at 12pm.

“Summer of Art”: The Ellwood City Art Club is offering Saturday art classes lead by art club members. These classes are open to everyone and held at the Ellwood Area Family Center from 10am-12pm. Reservations are due 2 weeks prior to the class. Today’s drawing class is for ages 12 and up. Call the Art Club at 724-758-2211 for more information.

Free Family Movie Night: The Ellwood City Kitchen Cabinet is showing “Despicable Me 3” at the Ewing Park Stage at 8pm. Free admission will include a dual inflatable slide from 8-9pm and featured movie giveaway.

Tuesday, June 12th:

Ember & Vine Fundraiser: Go to Ember & Vine located at 910 Sheraton Dr, Mars and help the Mars Home for Youth Family Services. Ember & Vine will donate 20% of your check if you tell them you are dining to support MHY Family Services and present the flyer to your server.

Wednesday, June 13th:

Studio P Summer Boot Camp: Call Studio P in Ellwood City at 724-944-9811 to enroll in Summer Boot Camp which is designed for older dancers that want to add to their current skills. The first session will be held June 13-15 from 10am-3pm with special guest Benjamin Belhumeur.

Thursday, June 14th:

Summer Story Times: Join the Beaver County Library System at the Franklin Township Community Park at 1:30pm for stories, songs, and crafts. Must register at 724-847-1450.

Tupperware Bowl Exchange: Bring an old “otherware” bowl and exchange it for a brand-new Tupperware bowl to King’s Family Restaurant in Monaca at 7pm. Bring a friend! RSVP to Linda Eisenbrown by June 12th – 724-752-5537.

Summer Concert Series: Join Ellwood City Community Enrichment as they present the Red Barn Players Sing Broadway on Main at the Community Plaza beginning at 7pm! FREE admission and bring your chair. Contact ECCE at 724-758-5501 with questions. In the event of rain, the show will be held in the Lincoln High School Auditorium.
