Saxon Club to Host Steel City Comedy Tour; Public Welcome

Ready to laugh until your ribs hurt? Look no further than the Ellwood City Saxon’s Club’s Comedy Night featuring The Steel City Comedy Tour. And you don’t have to be a member to attend as the side splitter is open to the public. The event will be held on Saturday, November 13th, at the club on 901 Millview Street. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 pre-sale (see bartender) and $15 at the door. Must be 21 to attend. Blood Drive to Honor the Life of Enon Valley Man

The annual Richard Hogue Replenishment Blood Drive will be held this week. Hogue, who was 28, was murdered on November 16, 2013. At the time of his death, he resided in Enon Valley, worked for Nick Mars Construction as a carpenter, and was a member of the Ellwood City Eagles Club. His mother, Debbie Murdock, described Richard as a hard-working, blue collar man who was raised with values. She said he lived to love and help others and had a heart of gold. Ellwood City Youth Basketball Clinic Planned

A basketball clinic is scheduled this month for Ellwood City boys and girls in grade 3-6. The clinic will be held over two weekends, Saturday, November 6th and Saturday, November 13th, and is garnering some attention according to Girls Varsity Head Coach Dena Noble. “We have over 80 ECASD students signed up to participate,” says Noble. Elementary students were sent home from their respective school with the registration earlier in October. Saint Vincent College Players Present ‘CLUE: On Stage!’ October 29-31

LATROBE, PA – The Saint Vincent College Players will present three performances of the comedy, “Clue: On Stage!” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, Saturday, Oct. 30 and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Oct. 31, in the Performing Arts Center of the Robert S. Two-Day Live Music Festival, Halloween Fun to Take Over Ellport
