Portersville Christian School Information Night/Open House

Portersville Christian School will hold an information Night/Open House on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the church, for families interested in enrolling students for the 2016-17 school year. The school is accepting student applications and registrations prior to the release of next year’s tuition schedule at the end of March 2016. In addition to kindergarten, there are openings in most grade levels for fall 2016. Interested families who have students entering kindergarten and grades 7 and 9 are encouraged to apply early, since these grades tend to fill up fast. New Dimension Comics Presents Pittsburgh Comic & Collectibles Show: Butcon

Pennsylvania comic book chain New Dimension Comics presents its annual convention, the Pittsburgh Comic & Collectibles Show, in Butler. The convention will be held Saturday, Feb. 13 at Clearview Mall (Butler) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the mall’s center court. Attendees can take advantage of our freebies and giveaways. Beaver County Snow Shovel Riding Championship Postponed

The Beaver County Commissioners, with their Departments of Recreation & Tourism and Public Works, have determined that the 53rd Annual Snow Shovel Riding Championship, previously scheduled for Saturday January 30th at Old Economy Park, must be postponed due to weather. The Championship is postponed until Saturday February 6th or until the conditions on a subsequent Saturday have sufficient snow cover to conduct the event. Corona D’Italia February Meeting Information

Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. at Pizza Joe’s. A Valentine Party will be held and all attending are requested to bring a Valentine card with a $1 gift and nickels for the social. Treasurer Louise Vitullo is now accepting payment for 2016 dues. Ferrante Upholstering & Carpeting “Eve of Music”

Ferrante Upholstering & Carpeting will hold its first “Eve of Music” this season on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 7 to 8 p.m. featuring Smokey, Acoustic Guitar. The “Eve of Music” will continue the last Thursday of the month throughout May. This musical event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be offered. Refuse To Be A Victim Crime Prevention Seminar Set For March

New Castle, PA – The National Rifle Association’s award-winning crime prevention and personal safety seminar, Refuse To Be A Victim®, will be held March 5, 2016 at The Elks Lodge 69 New Castle.
