Halloween Parade Scheduled For Saturday

The annual Ellwood City Halloween Parade is scheduled to take place on Saturday beginning at 3:30pm and will make its way through the downtown. Judging will take place at 3:00pm Saturday in the Lincoln High School parking lot. All participants are asked to be in the parking lot by 2:30pm for judging of floats, costumed marching groups and individuals. Sixth Annual Oktoberfest Is Brewing

The Sixth Annual Oktoberfest is set for this Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon to 5:30 p.m. Last year, about 500 people showed up to enjoy over craft beers, homemade brews, music, food and games. This year, the event will take place rain or shine and will feature over 75 craft beers, in addition to beer brewed by locals. The event is sponsored by the Wolves, Rotary, and Lions Clubs. Fall Fest to Become a New Ellwood Tradition

Ellwood City is two years into a establishing a new annual tradition: Fall Fest. This year’s fall fest will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Ellwood. “It’s a community oriented event featuring local businesses,” event chairman Bob Rivers said. “Everything will be free or low cost.” Last year, the Chamber of Commerce decided to resurrect Fall Fest, which hadn’t been done in many years. Ellwood City’s Storytelling Festival Tomorrow

The Ellwood City Storytelling Festival, a free event, will be held on Sept. 19 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Ewing Park. In its 14th year, the storytelling festival is a beloved community event that features free activities for children and professional storytellers. Each year, the event draws up to 1000 visitors. Bigfoot the Movie will be screened 8 p.m. this Saturday at the Folino Stage in Ewing Park. The comedy horror movie, filmed in and around Ellwood City, was created, directed, and stars Riverside graduate Jared Show. Tonight the 49th Annual Holy Redeemer Parish Bazaar returns to Ellwood City for four nights of rides, games, food and entertainment.
