ECASD Public Meeting Notice Change

According to information made available by the district, the Ellwood City Area Board of Directors has changed the location of their Regular Board Meeting scheduled on March 10, 2022. The meeting will now take place at the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center (LCCTC) located at 750 Phelps Way, New Castle, PA 16101. Portersville Mother Among First Students Accepted In A New BC3 Program

A 44-year-old native of the Philippines who in 2007 suspended her pursuit of higher education in health care at Butler County Community College following the birth of her special-needs daughter is among the first students accepted in a BC3 practical nursing program that debuted Tuesday. Yeng Carle, of Portersville, is the most senior of 10 students in BC3’s latest selective-admissions health care program. Kindergarten Enrollment Upcoming At Riverside School District

Attention is called to parents of preschool students who live within the Riverside Beaver County School District. Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2022-2023 School Year is set to begin Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Children who will be 5 years old before September 1, 2022 and are residents of the Riverside Beaver County School District are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2022–2023 school year. ECASD Hires Head Football Coach; Approves COVID Health and Safety Plan

The Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors hired Daniel Bradley to serve as head coach of varsity football. Bradley received unanimous support from the board. He will be paid $7,000. “The students are elated,” said Brian Partridge, football boosters president, who was in attendance at the meeting. Bradley has a decade of experience serving as head coach. Lincoln High School Releases Updated COVID-19 Policies

With the new COVID-19 variant lurking, schools are now taking a closer look at their policies and making changes they see fit. Lincoln High School has made some changes and updates to their mask policies and what to do about positive cases. These policies will go into effect starting Friday, January 14th. Riverside School District Issues COVID-19 Isolation Procedure Update

According to information made available by superintendent Bret Trotta and information made available on the school district website, Riverside Beaver County School District has issued a COVID-19 Isolation Procedure Update. In a statement made available by Trotta, he advises the district held a school board meeting to revisit our Health and Safety Plan on Friday. The Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors held its reorganization and regular voting meeting Thursday night. ECASD Announces Plans for Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs)

Ellwood City Area School District recently released a letter to families announcing Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs). FIDs allow the district to conduct remote learning when the weather prohibits safe travel to in person learning at the school facilities. According to Superintendent Dr. Wesley Shipley, the district has been approved to use up to five FIDS during inclement weather conditions.
