Note this is part 1 of a two-part series introducing the local high school musicals. Today’s part will feature dates of both shows and details about the Riverside presentation of Frozen. March is an exciting month for local high school theatre arts. Both Riverside Beaver County High School and Lincoln High School will present musicals. The Ellwood City Area School District is now accepting 2026-27 Kindergarten pre-registration. If you are planning to enroll your child in kindergarten this fall, please complete the form and return it to your child’s school as soon as possible. All prospective parents of the Ellwood City Area School District are eligible. Senator McCormick Tours North American Forgemasters and ELLWOOD Crankshaft & Machine

U.S. Senator Dave McCormick visited two leading regional manufacturers on Tuesday, touring North American Forgemasters (NAF) and ELLWOOD Crankshaft and Machine (ECM) in Hermitage to see firsthand the advanced industrial capabilities supporting U.S. energy, transportation, defense, and infrastructure. ECASD Board of Directors Table Hiring of Head Football Coach for Special Meeting

Although the Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors, according to the agenda posted on the district’s website, was set to vote to hire a new head football coach during Monday’s meeting, a coach was ultimately not hired. The 7 p.m. public meeting was delayed 50 minutes as the board held an executive session for interviews. CCBC And Republic Airways Establish Aviation Career Pipeline Agreement

Monaca, PA – According to Statista projections, the global airline pilot shortage could reach 50,000 by 2025, while the National Air Traffic Controllers Association reports that the FAA is short nearly 4,000 air traffic controllers. To address industry hiring demands and to put future pilots and air controllers on successful career paths, Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) and Republic Airways Inc. have signed an agreement to create the Aviation Career Pipeline Interview Program. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award four (4) fifteen hundred dollar($1,500.00) scholarships this year. All graduating seniors living in the Ellwood City Area School District or the Riverside School District are eligible. Applications and requirements may be obtained from either high school Guidance Counselor, or from the Ellwood City Area Historical Society. Wolverine PTO Offering Delicious Pepperoni Roll Fundraiser

Support the Wolverine PTO with a delicious fundraiser! The Parent Teacher Organization for the ECASD K-6 Schools are selling Sunseri’s famous pepperoni rolls straight from The Strip District in Pittsburgh.
