Residents Continue Opposition Against Planned Softball Stadium at Former Ewing Park School Location

Residents of Beatty and Wood Streets, where a softball stadium is planned for the Ellwood City Area School District girls softball team, continued to fill the seats of the Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors meeting room, and they circulated a petition in the hallway of Lincoln High School in an effort stop the plan before Thursday’s voting meeting. ELLWOOD Celebrates Manufacturing Week With Visits To Lawrence County High Schools

]New Castle, PA] – For the second straight year, ELLWOOD celebrated Manufacturing Week with a tour of Lawrence County area high schools, talking with area students about the many manufacturing career opportunities available in the community. ELLWOOD partnered with Lawrence County School-to-Work to coordinate the effort of visiting every high school in the county over the five-day period, reaching more than 1,000 students. PennDOT Announces ‘Innovations Challenge’ for High School Students

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that high school students from around the state are invited to participate in the seventh annual PennDOT Innovations Challenge, which encourages students to use their problem-solving, creative and strategic-thinking abilities to solve real-world transportation challenges in a competition among their peers. The Innovations Challenge is open to all students in grades 9-12, regardless of their school’s learning model. Community Grand Opening Sept. 20 For BC3 State-of-the-Art Health Care building

Butler, PA – Jason Adamson and Luke Veon measured each other’s leg lengths and arm heights  near parallel bars, treatment tables and a hospital bed rigged with a patient lift.
