The Ellwood City Area School District will be hosting a ‘Back To School’ event featuring a free pasta dinner and speech by world renowned speaker, Josh Shipp. The FREE event will be held on Monday, August 22nd at the Lincoln High School Cafeteria. Ellwood City Area School District Provides Construction Update

In advance of the back to school season, the Ellwood City Area School District has provided an update to various construction projects on school grounds. Sainato: More Than $3 Million Awarded To Fund Lawrence County Early Education Programs

Lawrence County early education programs are receiving more than $3 million in funding to bolster resources for area preschoolers, state Rep. Chris Sainato announced today. HHSDR Provides Helling Stadium Update, Presents Proposal for Perry Lower Renovations

Representatives from HHSDR Architects/Engineers announced during Thursday night’s Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors meeting that construction is on track at Helling Stadium for the proposed September 28 completion date. They said that all the “in the mud” type work is finished. They expect the turf work to begin after Aug 8, which is the expected arrival date of the materials. Butler County Community College is proud to announce the names of students who have made the President’s List and Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 semester, as well as the names of those who have graduated recently. ECASD Board of Directors Hires Boys Basketball Head Coach

The Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors hired Scott Dibble to serve as the head boys basketball coach. In 2019, Dibble stepped down after serving for two seasons as Bishop Canevin’s girls basketball head coach and two years previously as an assistant. The Crusaders won WPIAL titles three of the four years and were state runners-up in 2017 and 2018. He also coached the girls teams for three seasons at New Castle and a dozen at Erie’s Villa Maria, where his teams reached the finals six times. Lawrence County Students New Members Of BC3 Academic Honor Society

Seven Butler County Community College (BC3) students from Lawrence County, including three Ellwood City residents, are among 79 new members of BC3’s chapter of an international academic honor society. New members of Rho Phi, the college’s 54-year-old chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5. Students who have completed at least 12 credit hours toward an associate degree or six credit hours toward a one-year certificate and who meet academic requirements are eligible for membership in Rho Phi.
