According to information made available by the district on Monday, the Ellwood City Area School Board of Directors has scheduled a special meeting for Personnel for Thursday, January 19, 2023. The meeting will take place at 5:00 p.m. and will be conducted in the Board Room located in the Lincoln Jr/Sr High School. The Ellwood City School District is located at 501 Crescent Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117

Ellwood City School District’s Board of Directors Names New President, Vice President

The Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors held it’s combined voting and reorganization meeting Thursday night. During the reorganization meeting, Kathy McCommons was named board president, with support from Directors Norman Boots, Renee Pitrelli, Jennifer Tomon, and Kathy Tillia. Jean Biehls was also nominated with support of Directors Erica Gray, Claire Fauzey, and Gary Rozanski. Biehls had served as board president previously. Riverside & Ellwood Students Lead Mock Trial Boot Camp

On Wednesday, December 7th, Wilmington Area School District hosted a Mock Trial Boot Camp led by students from Riverside Beaver County and Lincoln High School. Over 30 high school students from the three schools participated in the training. Following a brief introduction that outlined the difference between civil and criminal cases as well as proper court protocol, participants rotated among five stations to learn elements of Mock Trial. $5K Raised by BC3, Community To Provide Free Holiday Meals

(Butler, PA) A Butler County Community College campaign to which employees, students and community members contributed $5,145 in September will provide free holiday meals to BC3 Pioneer Pantry patrons and in boxes decorated with paper hearts painted by 3- to 5-year-olds. Nearly 60 people during a week of charitable giving administered by the BC3 Education Foundation helped the college to raise funds to create Thanksgiving and December holiday meals for BC3 community members experiencing food insecurity.
