REMINDER: Westbound I-376 Closure July 12-16 in Lawrence County Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing a full westbound closure of I-376 in Neshannock Township, Lawrence County, will occur Wednesday through Sunday, July 12-16 weather permitting. LHS Class of 1959 Holds Mini Reunion

With 32 classmates in attendance, the Ellwood City Lincoln High School Class of 1959 held a mini reunion on June 30th at Mike’s Main Street, on Lawrence Avenue. Special guests included Bob Morrow, Mayor Anthony Court, Coach Jeff “Gino” Fotia, and Attorneys Larry and Marisa Kelly. Classmate Keith Morrison traveled the farthest to attend, logging 1,132 miles from Florida. Eight attendees came from out of state. Ellwood City Cheerleaders Hosting Color Run On August 12th

The Ellwood City Cheerleaders will be hosting its 5k Color Run in August. The event is its annual 5k the cheerleaders host each year with the exception of 2020 because of COVID-19. The run is fun for all ages and athletic abilities. The run consists of participants going through the nature trail and circling around Ewing Park. “Some people walk the 5k and some are more serious and want to run,” says LHS Cheer Booster Tresurer, Nicole DiCerbo. Mayor Court Announces 5th Beautification Winner

Mayor Anthony J. Court presented the 5th 2023 Beautification Award to “Roach” and Fran Boariu on Line Avenue. Mayor Court stated “ Looks great! A lot of work and it shows. LHS Class of 1954 Celebrates 69th Reunion With Cookout

The Lincoln High School Class of 1954 celebrated their 69th Reunion with an Ellwood city 4th July Cookout. The event was held on Saturday, July 1st, from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Connequenessing Country Club Indoor patio. Red, White and Blue decorated signs designed and provided by Ilene Gardner and her family directed all arrivals. Councilman George Celli was recently awarded the Carol Sambol Award from the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs for his 25 year dedication serving on Ellwood City Borough Council. The award is presented to honor faithful and effective service. Celli was presented the award by Sgt. Mike McBride of the Ellwood City Police Department.  McBride was the first officer who Celli voted to hire during his time on Council.
