Ellwood City will be the focus of the Columbia Gas Meter Move Out Program. Columbia Gas implemented the Meter Move Out Program to comply with a requirement from The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to locate all gas meters and regulators outside and above ground. Learn more about the program here. Quarterback Chris Smiley accounted for four touchdowns as Ellwood City defeated Freedom 43-3 on the road Friday night in MAC Section play. The victory moved the Wolverines to 4-0 on the season, their first 4-0 start since 1997. updated: Friday, September 20th 9:52 a.m. According to numerous media outlets, Ellwood City police have confirmed one male is dead and a suspect is in custody after a shooting Thursday night at Ellwood City Forge. The shooting happened inside the facility around 6:30 p.m. according to Mayor Anthony Court. It is unclear how many people were in the manufacturing facility during the incident. The Homecoming King will be crowned at school during a Pep Rally and the Queen will be crowned at halftime of the Friday night football game vs. New Brighton.
