Registration For 2025 Summer Playground Program At Ewing Park To Begin June 5th

Registration will be open for the 2025 Ellwood City Summer Playground Program Registration will be held at Ewing Park, Shelter #5 on Thursday, June 5th and Friday, June 6th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Please bring the following information to registration: Proof of Borough residency (EC Borough electric bill or Borough Tax statement) Driver’s license or state ID and phone number of parent/guardian responsible for child Driver’s license number, and phone number of two additional people that will be allowed to pick your child up from the program. BC3 Golf Team Undefeated As Region 20 Championship Tournament begins Monday

The undefeated Butler County Community College men’s golf team is one victory away from competing for a national championship for a seventh time. The Pioneers (7-0) will battle Monday and Tuesday for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Region 20 title at The Links at Spring Church in Apollo. The winner of the 36-hole competition earns an automatic berth to the 72-hole NJCAA Division III national championship tournament in June in Chautauqua, where the individual golfers on the team that captures the Region 20 crown would also vie for All-American awards. PHOTOS: Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project Is More Than Halfway Complete

Significant progress has been made along the Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) as the Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project is more than halfway completed. The $269 million project, which began in December 2022, constructs two new bridges to the north of the current bridge and expands the roadway from two to three lanes in each direction, adding widened shoulders and median. Pier tables are currently under construction on the eastbound bridge and have been completed on the westbound side. Each bridge is a five-span, cast-in-place, segmental bridge that is 1,645 feet long and 200 feet high. The westbound bridge structure is…

REAL ID Support Continuing With Monday Event at Nearly 60 Locations Following Start of Federal Enforcement

Harrisburg – With the federal REAL ID Act now in effect, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is continuing to offer its REAL ID Days at 57 driver license centers on Monday, May 12. REAL ID Days continue to draw strong turnout, with nearly 10,000 REAL IDs issued during each of the past four events. Brown Vehemently Opposes Legalizing Recreational Marijuana in Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG – Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) this week voted “no” on legalizing recreational marijuana in Pennsylvania.
