Ellwood City Company Signs Contract with North Allegheny School District

Ellwood City-based marketing company Thought Process Enterprises (TPE) recently signed a contract with North Allegheny School District forming a partnership that will allow advertisements on the district’s website as a means of generating revenue for the district. With school districts facing increasing financial difficulties, some districts have looked for alternative means to raise money beyond tax revenue and government funding. TPE helps districts in their search for additional income. Pie Festival!

The Annual Pie Festival hosted by the Lincoln Blue Band will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25 at Helling Stadium. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. This is a special event to kick off the Blue Band’s fall entertainment. All Blue Band members and fall sport team members will be announced. Each member will receive a free piece of pie. Mayor Presented with Gold Watch

Ellwood City Mayor Anthony Court was recognized by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association for outstanding achievements in High School athletics in his 32 years of service. He was presented with a gold watch at the Awards banquet held at the Hilton in Harrisburg on August 6, 2016. At the Ellwood City Borough council agenda meeting on Aug. 8, Rob Brough, representing the citizen group “Standing Up to Ellwood Electric,” which has almost 1,200 members, read a letter requesting an informal meeting of citizens and council members to discuss the Ellwood City Electric Department. At the conclusion of the meeting, council president Connie MacDonald met with Brough to set the date, time and place. DUI Man Says “Just Arrest Me Already” According to the criminal compliant on July 30, at approximately 2:20 a.m., officers were dispatched for a DUI at the Ellwood City McDonalds. Officers made contact with the Joseph Michael Marino, 30, of Pittsburgh, Marino said “just arrest me already.
